Hi all,

Does anyone know of any freeware type programs that you can create a character from pre-existing templates? I've seen a spanish one, in spanish, and it's a little glitchy, plus I'm not good at reading/understanding the instuctions.

Even something that made them in the style of the ol' JLU cartoon, remember that one?

Wasn't it Heromachine or something like that? I never used it. Also, I know of another based on 3D programs with Arkham City elements. I'll try to give you a link.

Hey all,

Is something wrong with the site? I never see anyone here anymore, I was hoping that this place would fill over time, and folks would be standing up against the wall, so crowded!

Anyone know where to find reasonably sized templates I can use to draw over? (Like a bare minimum form - front/side/back...that sort of thing?) I can't draw a straight line, but I write ok lol. I thought if I had a better handle on what I think my characters will look like, I could write even more, and get better. I have ideas galore about outfits/costumes/uniforms, but as I said, no drawing skill lol.

Hi, SuperHeroFan! I found this place two weeks ago, and I've been wandering around the empty streets reading arbitrary threads. I haven't posted an introduction yet because I didn't know if I'd get zero replies or 50, and that throws off my planning for what to say and when. (This is like one of those lost cities full of abandoned supertechnology.)

The best information I can offer for blank profiles for drawing costumes on is what I've been using lately. It's a pen&paper rpg rulebook called Powers for Good #0. You can get it as a bundle of pdf files on a 'pay what you want' basis (and you can pay zero and still get it). One of the pdf files is comprised of like, twenty or thirty different silhouettes, of both genders, various heights, weights, body shapes, and poses. (No backs, though) Hope that helps.

The fact that page 8 is directly lifted from Bruce Timm's artwork of Wonder Woman concerns me, regarding the rest of the illustrations: http://www.kidswb.com/downloads/printables/wonder-woman/4 .

Hrm. That is disappointing. I figured Sage Kobold was a shoestring operation, but it didn't occur to me they'd just get all piratical with an eraser.
