New Villain: Diana Dagmar

Hey gang,

I ran across this site via the Public Domain Super Hero Wiki (and noticed a lot of your work over there) and since I had one character in mind that I wanted to make open source, I thought it would be a good place to present her...


Real Name: Diana Dagmar
Archetype: Industrialist/Femme Fatale
History:
Diana Dagmar runs Dagmar Industries, her family business that has become one of the most powerful corporations in the world. Diana was raised in one of the richest families, went to the finest schools, and has for a long time regarded herself as superior to just about every person around her.

She's held a long standing belief that society is destined to crumble in the near future. She has a long range plan to escape that inevitable destruction, creating far removed enclaves of people she deems worthy. When the dust settles, she and her chosen shall emerge to rebuild the world in her image.

One of the greatest stumbling blocks to her plans are the various super heroes in the world. Their short sighted support of the status quo is holding back the inevitable. As such, she tends to keep some well known super villains in her employ and use them to advance her agendas.

Powers and Abilities:
Diana Dagmar is a brilliant businesswoman in command of the nearly limitless resources of her corporation.

Nice. Reminds me of Lex Luthor or Veronica Cale.

Welcome to the site Jay. You seem to be an artist...do you have a webcomic?

Yes I do, It's called Kaza's Mate Gwenna. A slightly not safe for work jungle adventure story. I must admit I took some inspiration from the old Fox Features jungle heroes, especially Jo-Jo Kongo King. One of Jo-Jo's stories was reprinted under the name Kaza, and in Jo-Jo's first adventure his mate was a girl named Gwenna. So I lifted the disused names and came up with my little idea.

Diana seems like a really neat villainess, Jay. Her motives remind me a little of someone I used to work with. He was a bit of a religious nut and seemed very uncomfortable around other people. He used to talk all the time about the coming apocalypse, and one day a bunch of us suddenly realized that he seemed to actually be looking forward to it!

Could you post a link to your Web comic? I'm a big fan of the old jungle stories, so I'd really like to check it out!

Fair Warning: there is a bit of nudity involved (as in the main characters are nude pretty much all the time) I'm playing the idea of these two being the typical Johnny Weissmuller/Maureen O'Hara pairing, but with a much less restrictive wardrobe
