On this forum you can introduce characters that you would like to make freely available to the people of the world. This can be an opportunity to see your characters brought to life by other artists, but please understand what it means to give up the exclusive creator rights to your character.
This is also a good place to collaborate with others on character ideas!

Actually, the hyperlinks work just fine for me. This is an interesting twist on the superhero genre. What made you think of introducing superheroes at the turn of the century? Traditionally, people don't think of superheroes existing before Superman's time. I'm guessing you like the steam-punk genre?

Yeah, I do like steampunk a bit (I have other stuff that I'm holding onto that's even more steampunk). I was wanting to make an open-source multiverse. I have Earth-A, Earth-B (or i), & Earth-C. Inspired by ideas others had put forth for "evil" Earths, a decided to create a historically divergent Earth where the US never recovered from the Great Depression & the Axis swept through Europe in WWII. Then I compared it to the others and they seemed bland. Earth-A was basically DC's Earth-Two only less awesome and so similar to any other world that there was hardly a point in describing it. So I decided to put supers in the 1910s. Then, to insert a divergence in history, I decided that WWI ended earlier. Then I decided that titan pressure altered the Treaty of Versailles, preventing the Nazis from being big-time players. Then I decided to make WWII bigger and bloodier. So, if you're willing to think through some little ripples that a historical divergence can make, you can make a unique setting.

And here's Microchthon an open-source pocket dimension.

You're an inventive story teller. I like your ideas. Do you have any plans of creating an on-line comic or something about these characters? I'd love to see them in action.

Here is the problem; I can't draw. I would eventually like to publish some comics, but at the moment I need to brush-up on my script-writing skills. I might post a short on the PDSH wiki, or if I can find someone who can draw, I might try to make an actual comic (be it in print or online).

Yzz, if you write any short fiction, could I trouble you to post your stories here on these forums as well? I'd like that stuff to go under "New Projects: Books, Stories, Etc" That way there's kind of a single place to go to find the stories that people are sharing.
How bad are your art skills? You did a reasonably good job on those microheroes. I've done microhero comics before. You just paste the little guys onto a background and make word balloons. Haha.

Sure thing. I might post something over the weekend.

Moderately bad. Plus, I don't have a scanner or a camera at the moment.

I've experimented with microhero comics. Unfortunately, it's a little hard to convey an all-out battle or such with 'em.

@Yzz: If you're still active with your pursuits, perhaps I can assist with your art needs. I do this as a hobby so no worries about anything. If you would like my help, message me and I will send you info where you can see examples of my art.
Currently you and anyone else can see me as "Decept-O" on ComicVine.Com, and my art has been featured on that site a few times when I submitted sketches to the staff. That site also showcased my cartoons a few months ago. I try to be diverse. You can see brief examples of my art there free on my profile page.
Thanks!

@Yzz: Whoa, that's a bit scary having you provide the link but that's fine. I didn't even think of doing it. I'm not exactly a very computer savvy person but I hope this helps a little. I DO have more sketches I just have them posted elsewhere and maybe I can post these here.

Sorry. Wading through CV often seems like a chore to me.

If you click on the "Gallery" section, at the bottom you'll see "Your Personal Album". Once you click on that, you'll see a "Create Personal Gallery" link. I assume that whatever you post would still be (c) to you unless you specify otherwise.

Hear is my idea for an original golden age character: The Green Cloak. He Fights crime wearing a green hat, business suit, and matching high -collared cape, and full-face helmet which give him the power of intangability.
