Subject: New Art Cheapo Comics Preview Thu Dec 13, 2012 10:36 pm
Been awhile since I've visited this awesome and enjoyable site. Needless to say I've been busy with "real life" but also with a number of projects.
The main one being my creation of "Cheapo Comics" which is an Indie/Small Press self-publishing entity, where I sell pinup style illustrations, posters, and trading cards. I've also created an ashcan comic book called the "Cheapo Comics Promo Comic #1". Rather bland title, but it is just an ashcan comic after all.
How this all fits in with Public Domain Characters and the like? Easily. I've used the concept of a few characters for the cover art and posters, namely Rocket Girl. Mind you, she's appearing a bit "torn" here, but thought I'd share the art if you wouldn't mind checking it out.

I'm also selling Collectors Packs of Posters, Prints and Trading Cards of the comic covers and posters, including my Horror/Halloween art cards called "Sketchy Scary" on Ebay and Etsy. IF anyone is interested.

@Golden Bard and @The Beholder: Thank You for your kind words. Here is a colored mini-poster I did featuring the Queen of Evil or Maleficent if you want to call her that, but this version I did to promote my line of artist Halloween themed cards called "Sketchy Scary", which, incidentally, also features several PD characters and themes.
This is the only colored version I did; I also have Black and White posters.

@Lantern Jaw: Thanks for the kind words and inquiry. I used different brands of markers and paper on these. One of the brands is a bit more "fluid" and known for laying down wet effects. Just markers, no watercolors.
