I need to ask something. If I have found a PD group I like, and I really like the characters, but not so much the name, is it possible to change the name, the characters (rename) and just keep the backstory? (So, the backstory stays but the team name and each individual's name changes.)
Looking forward to finding out.

If something is truly "Public Domain" that means it is in the domain of the public, i.e. nobody owns it. Do whatever you want.

I just wasn't sure if using PD chars was an all or nothing kind of thing. Now I just have to find a decent name.
