| Hopefully it is acceptable to post this here.
I've been working on my comic book projects on and off the past few years. I've managed to get at least three projects up and running. One being a 'zine featuring my text comic book stories, as well as my artwork, the other being some promotional flyers and sketch cards, and the last one an "ashcan" comic which unfortunately, didn't turn out quite the way I wanted. The last one due to my rush job on the inks and awful lettering on my part. I even had published comic book artist Rock Baker ( Femforce, Moonstone Books, Main Enterprises) do the pencils for me.
That said, I believe my own skills have improved slightly but would still prefer to have someone help with artwork, either with pencil, inks, or both. Not certain about writers just yet because I am handling those chores but something may manifest later. Always an open door in that regard.
Also seriously looking for people to help promote my comic book projects and 'zine. I am no longer making use of Facebook.
Which leaves other options open, certainly, and am planning to utilize them on my own, but still needing someone who has time and the desire to help in that area. Which could be an artist or anyone else.
Regarding the artwork aspect of things, I am hoping to see samples. I won't check anything on Facebook so if you have a link elsewhere to your art, or would like to post here or via email, that would be great.
I AM offering monetary compensation. I can't offer loads of funds but I have paid artists in the past; just be realistic as I am small press, self-publishing. I am also giving most of my creative efforts away free of charge so there isn't any real plan to "go big" or be a showcase to major publishers. Doing it for FUN.
Here is a list of artists I have previously hired for commissions and sequential work: Rock Baker, Mark Dail, Scott Shriver, and Steven Butler.
The tone of one comic book, the Super Heroine Elite Team, is "standard" super hero fare, but featuring primarily female characters with plenty of villains, monsters, sci-fi themes, action, and "good girl" style art.
The other, the Paranormal Rogue Operatives, is again primarily female characters but featuring "horror" themes done in a humorous yet action-filled manner. This is the ashcan book I did manage to have published with Rock Baker's pencils.
OK, enough of my rambling. If you would like some more info, hit me up, would love to chat with you and see about getting the ball rolling.
Thanks for your time. | |

| Thanks very much for that link. I wanted to post HERE first because this is a PD-centered site and think there odds of finding someone with similar interests.
However I DO appreciate that link and will check it out. I had checked out another site some time back but didn't succeed with any matches, so perhaps that one may help. Thanks again.

| If you want me to have a crack at any lettering, inking, colouring, or co-writing, let me know. I've got a wacom tablet and manga studio, so I am happy to work at it and see what I can do. Won't be offended if you don't think it's good enough either | |

| @CaptainWhizz: Certainly. I am in need of a letterer, I failed to mention that I believe. I may pursue this whole thing myself as I have already started with the art.
If you have an email address I can shoot you a sample page I have already drawn up which includes the word balloons but of course, no lettering. I will naturally provide the script for you.
Let me know if you're interested. This would just be a sample and can't offer payment for this one but if things work out after all is said and done we can go from there if interested.
Thanks! | |

| I'm happy to have a crack at a page or two just for practice, and you can let me know what you think? | |

| @captainwhizz: Please message me here with your email address so I can send the image of the one page I would like for you to letter.
Thanks! | |

| Unless you're writing "The Adventures of Stick-Figure Man," I would be of no help to you... But good luck.
Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you don't want to do Facebook any more? (Not that there's not a lot to hate about FB, of course...)

| @Golden Bard:
I have actually had a couple of changes since posting this info. I am back on Facebook, with great reservations. I am already experiencing problems...hackers, peoples' drama...the list goes on...
Also, I may actually pursue this darn thing as an illustrated text comic with some help on lettering.
Thanks for asking! | |

| @captainwhizz: No. I am not on that site. I did make use of it a couple of years ago but can't justify the expenditure. However I do appreciate the input.
As stated earlier, I think I am going to go with an illustrated text comic instead of stressing about trying to do a sequential one. Granted, I would like to do a traditional sequential one but this is the route I will pursue.
Thanks again. | |

| @captainwhizz: It is OK. No worries. I was going to contact you about this anyway as I have decided to pursue the comic as a "prose" or "text" story comic with spot illustrations instead. In fact I am going to make it part of a comic book themed 'zine as I did just a couple of years ago.
It is easier on me in many ways.
To sum it up, no need for anything on your end.
If you haven't started, that is quite all right, no worries, just let it be!
Thanks for the help in any regard.

| Have you ever looked at Fivver: https://www.fiverr.com/? You can usually find artists/illustrators willing to do pics for $5 there, which might work for your "spot illustration" idea. | |

| @GoldenBard: Thanks for that info. No, the spot illustrations I am doing myself and I already have 2 artists who will contribute them as well, but thanks. I have received enough positive feedback with my own art from several people, so I will go that route. I was wanting sequential art done but again, something I am unable to do very well.
Thanks again.
