I have also been really inspired by some of the open source characters available and I have ideas for a few short stories/novellas. I wish I could say I had it in me to write a novel but we'll have to wait and see.

As someone who has attempted a novel, I can assure you, it is no easy task. But I imagine the rewards are great once you've completed one. Like you, I tend to prefer shorter works from the most part.

I've started a novel for a small press company, about one of my original characters, and was writing with a co-writer who has unfortunately pulled out. I find I tend to write better with a group or co-writer to bounce ideas off.
A couple of the Open Source characters have really got the creative juices going so I'm working away on a few ideas.
Subject: Novels And Short Stories
