Public Domain Sprites - For Building PD Characters!

Although I don't play a lot of videogames, I love old school 2D video game graphics. So I spent some time building templates that can be used to make any character. I think the results look pretty good. I am offering full license to use these templates...you can consider them public domain. But, I hope that you will consider turning these into some of our favorite PD and open source characters, and in turn, making those sprites freely licensed. I would love to see some animations of our favorite characters...much like my new avatar featuring the mighty Astro-Man. Anyone savvy at actually building games?
