| I really like the work of Jay Piscopo, who has posted quite a few PD heroes on his Facebook pages, often with stylistic tweaks and (when necessary) outright redesigns. I really like his take on "Captain Marvel." His character is "Thunder, the New World's Mightiest Mortal." Check out his stuff: The Art of Jay PiscopoNemo ToysSomething else I've found is that if you go to DeviantArt and type "public domain superhero" in the searcnh box, quite a few artists are playing around with revampieng some of the characters, and many of the redesigns are quite clever.
