| The new Miss Fury comic from Dynamite is pretty promising. Drawings are right up my alley, the art reminds me just a little bit of Gary Frank. I like when the drawings are prominent and have strong inking, as supposed to art that's mostly carried by the coloring. It combines different time periods, so of course there's nazis but also other threats. And, it's kinda daring / sexy for a superhero book, at least what has come out so far. http://www.dynamite.com/htmlfiles/viewProduct.html?PRO=C72513020399100161 | |

I like a lot of Dynamite's takes on characters. I was
under the impression that "The Spider" was public domain
but I wasn't sure about "The Shadow". Did they buy the rights
to him?

| Wasn't sure about it, but the Wiki page says that The Shadow is owned by Conde Nast (which owns also The New Yorker and many other publications). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shadow (all the way at the bottom, See also:) Since he had so many iterations, chances were that somebody did still own him. | |
