There will be another character update on the Free Universe site this weekend. There will be three more villain and one new "anti-hero" listed. Any guesses who will show up? Hints:

-You've already seen my art for one of the characters.

-The three villains have worked for the same organization.

-One has a season appropriate theme...

Hrm, now that Marvel has been introduced, perhaps the villains will be Sivana, Ibac and Mister Mind? And the anti-hero Fantomas, the other Fletcher Hanks creation? But none of those are particularly festive. Hrm...

Wow, big points for Vagrant AND great dude. You both got one. Ironically, I have already completed art for all three Marvel villains mentioned, but they will appear in sepetate themed groups. But yes, Fantomah will be up tomorrow as our next anti-hero. I must be getting predictable!

Another hint: season appropriate, but not really the kind of villain who observes the holidays. He's more cold hearted than the Grinch, and works for the same people that Iron Jaw has.

Thanks for the encouragement great dude. I'm working on a few characters on your list, but also on some cool characters that will really surprise you. Next update will be all female characters...

As far as contributing ideas to the site, I am always open to suggestions, so feel free to discuss them on these boards. As my time is very limited, I won't be creating profiles for characters that are suggested on this forum, until they are actually used in a published (or e-published) story, comic or movie. I still have a lot of established characters to do. If you have character ideas, I suggest creating your own article on the Public Domain Superheroes wiki. If someone finds your character on the wiki and uses it, then Iwill create a profile on Free Universe. I am also considering making a special Free Universe forum user open source character catalog section on the site. If you want a great dude section, post some characters on the forum, but I can't promise I'll get this section up anytime soon, 'cause I've got lots of other stuff I'm working on.

Oh cool, a teams section. That's nifty. Now I just need to get some of those named characters from the League of Destiny pumped out, so that they can be of use for bios. Good to see the League of Destiny showed up there though. The bio portrays them a bit more neutrally than my original skewed-to-deconstruction-and-parody design, which is nice. They sort of seem like a global Outsiders crew now, being "the heroes that the world can hate for doing what's needed".

Which reminds me, I need to write a story about them, and particularly Crowtalon, so they can get a profile bio

The game probably won't be released until 2013 or 2014...there is a lot to be worked out....

What is to be worked out? Just little things like figuting out the rules, how and where to publish it, etc. There is a lot that has to go into it. It won't be free and it won't be based on an existing system...it isn't just some half-hearted thing that I'm doing for fun. It is an effort to make the best system possible, and that takes time.

Can't discuss the name until it's ready. Wouldn't want someone to use it and trademark it...or if they do, I need to be able to change the name. All will be revealed at the proper time....

Great update, Argosail, with some REALLY interesting characters! Plastic Man had some bizarre villains (of course, I guess he would have to, given the way he was handled). And the Toad reminds me of a PD GA version of the Spiderman villain, The Lizard! Can't wait to see who you come up with next!
